The inhibitory mechanism of 1,6-Di-O-galloyl-β-D-glucose is competitive inhibition of the template primer and non-competitive inhibition of the substrate (dTTP). 1,6-Di-O-galloyl-β-D-glucose can be used in anti-HIV research.
