Cat. No.: HY-W615108B Purity: 99.55%
Handling Instructions Technical Support

β-Nicotinamide mononucleotide, reduced form (NMNH) disodium is an orally active reduced version of β-Nicotinamide mononucleotide (HY-F0004). β-Nicotinamide mononucleotide, reduced form disodium can significantly increase the levels of NAD+ and NADH, inhibit glycolysis, the tricarboxylic acid cycle, and cell growth, with its effects being dependent on nicotinamide mononucleotide adenylyltransferase (NMNAT).

Description

β-Nicotinamide mononucleotide, reduced form (NMNH) disodium is an orally active reduced version of β-Nicotinamide mononucleotide (HY-F0004). β-Nicotinamide mononucleotide, reduced form disodium can significantly increase the levels of NAD+ and NADH, inhibit glycolysis, the tricarboxylic acid cycle, and cell growth, with its effects being dependent on nicotinamide mononucleotide adenylyltransferase (NMNAT)[1][2].

In Vitro

β-Nicotinamide mononucleotide, reduced form (100 μM; 12 h) disodium can significantly increase the level of NAD+ in HepG2 cells and reduce the levels of glycolysis and TCA cycle intermediates[1].
β-Nicotinamide mononucleotide, reduced form (250-1000 μM; 12-72 h) disodium can inhibit the growth of HepG2 cells and induce cell cycle arrest[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Cell Viability Assay[1]

Cell Line: HepG2 cells
Concentration: 10, 50, 100, 250 and 500 μM
Incubation Time: 72 h
Result: Inhibited HepG2 cell growth at concentrations higher than 250 μM.
In Vivo

β-Nicotinamide mononucleotide, reduced form (340 mg/kg; intraperitoneal injection/oral gavage; single dose) disodium can increase the NAD+ level in the liver of male mice[1].
β-Nicotinamide mononucleotide, reduced form (250 mg/kg; intraperitoneal injection; single dose) disodium can increase the NAD+ levels by 2-5 times in tissues such as the liver, kidney, brain, muscle, and whole blood of C57BL/6J mice[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
