In Vivo

α-Amylase-IN-13 (Compound 5r) (10 mg/kg, oral gavage, once daily for 14 days) can effectively control Streptozotocin (HY-13753)-induced diabetes in rats and reduce complications[1].

Animal Model: Male Wistar rats (200–250 g body weight) after a 12-h fasting period, type 1 diabetes mellitus was induced intraperitoneally by IP injection of streptozotocin (STZ) at a dose of 55 mg/kg[1].
Dosage: 10 mg/kg
Administration: Oral gavage, once daily for 14 days
Result: Exhibited a notable decrease in blood glucose levels, indicating enhanced glycemic control.
Significantly improved the serum levels of urea, creatinine, HbA1c, AST, ALT, and ALP.
Demonstrated remarkable recovery with the mild congestive hepatic sinusoids, significantly reduced lipid droplets, and fewer ballooned hepatocytes.
Showed remarkably reduced signs of pathological tissue damage.
Enhanced the islet cell integrity and function.
