Handling Instructions Technical Support

trans-Platinum(II)diammine dichloride (trans-platinumdiamminedichloride) is a geometric isomer of Cisplatin (HY-17394). Trans-Platinum(II)diammine dichloride is a DNA cross-linking agent that induces significant DNA cross-link damage while exhibiting low cytotoxicity. Trans-Platinum(II)diammine dichloride is useful for studying DNA-protein cross-links.

Description

trans-Platinum(II)diammine dichloride (trans-platinumdiamminedichloride) is a geometric isomer of Cisplatin (HY-17394). Trans-Platinum(II)diammine dichloride is a DNA cross-linking agent that induces significant DNA cross-link damage while exhibiting low cytotoxicity. Trans-Platinum(II)diammine dichloride is useful for studying DNA-protein cross-links[1][2].

In Vitro

trans-Platinum(II)diammine dichloride (20-200 μM, 0-24 h) induces DNA cross-linking but does not cause DNA fragmentation, and its cytotoxicity to L1210 cells is approximately one order of magnitude lower than that of Cisplatin[1][2].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
