Thiamine triphosphoric acid ester  (Synonyms: Thiamine triphosphate)

Cat. No.: HY-W587827
Handling Instructions Technical Support

Thiamine triphosphoric acid ester (TTP), a neuroactive compound, is a triphosphate derivative of the vitamin thiamine. Thiamine triphosphoric acid ester exists in microorganisms, animal organs and plants. Thiamine triphosphoric acid ester is transiently produced in response to amino acid starvation in E. coli, while constitutively producing at a low rate in mammalian cells. Thiamine triphosphoric acid ester can be synthesized by two different enzymes (AK1 in the cytosol and FoF1-ATP synthase in brain mitochondria). Thiamine triphosphoric acid ester has a basic role in cell metabolism or cell signaling.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
