In Vitro

(Rac)-sn-Glycerol 3-phosphate sodium is a phosphorylated derivative of glycerol that is produced as an intermediate in the glycolysis pathway[1].
(Rac)-sn-Glycerol 3-phosphate sodium binds to the α subunit of tryptophan synthase, regulates the synthesis of tryptophan through allosteric inhibition[1].
(Rac)-sn-Glycerol 3-phosphate sodium provides microorganisms with advantages in environments lacking nutrients as the phosphorus, carbon and energy sources. (Rac)-sn-Glycerol 3-phosphate sodium can be used for microorganisms cultivation[2].
(Rac)-sn-Glycerol 3-phosphate sodium binds to metal ions and forms insoluble phosphate minerals. (Rac)-sn-Glycerol 3-phosphate sodium can be used for in situ bioremediation to reduce environmental pollution[2].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
