Description

Paclitaxel poliglumex is a macromolecular Paclitaxel (HY-B0015) conjugate. Paclitaxel poliglumex is synthesized from the biodegradable polymer poly-L-glutamic acid and paclitaxel[1]. Paclitaxel poliglumex can be used for cancer research, such as ovarian cancer and melanoma[1][2].

In Vivo

Paclitaxel poliglumex (80 mg/kg, i.v., once daily for 5 days) being synergistic with Carboplatin (HY-17393), inhibits tumor growth in female C3Hf/KAM mice bearing OCa-I tumor cells[1].
Paclitaxel poliglumex (40 mg/kg, i.v., single dose) has a long circulation time in plasma in female mice with subcutaneous B16 murine melanomas[1].
Paclitaxel poliglumex (PG-TXL) (20 mg/kg, i.v., single dose) exhibits superior tumor accumulation capability in an Oca-1 tumor-bearing mouse model[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: Female C3Hf/K am mice (25-30 g) injected with Oca-1 cells[2]
Dosage: 20 mg/kg
Administration: i.v., single dose
Result: Showed its accumulation in tumor tissue was at least 12 times that with the same dose of Paclitaxel.
Was concentrated in the liver, spleen, and, to a lesser extent, lung and kidney, suggesting active uptake by cells of the reticuloendothelial system (RES).

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
