Description

Orotirelin (CG 3509) is a thyrotrophin-releasing hormone (TRH) analogue. Orotirelin can be used in the study of neurological diseases[1].

In Vivo

In the pentobarbitone anaesthetized rats, Bilateral injection of Orotirelin (0.1-1.0 μg) into the nucleus accumbens reduced the Pentobarbitone-induced sleeping time[1].

Animal Model: Male Sprague-Dawley rats (270-290 g) anaesthetized with Sodium Pentobarbitone (60mg/kg, i.p.)[1]

Result: Reversed the Pentobarbitone-induced sleeping time.
