In Vivo

Inosinic acid disodium hydrate (1:2:X) (0.05-0.2%, pi. in the diet for 22 days) exhibits antioxidant activity by scavenging free radicals, and reducing the malondialdehyde (MDA) content in meat[1].
Inosinic acid disodium hydrate (1:2:X) (0.05-0.2%, pi. in the diet for 22 days) increases daily weight gain (optimal addition amount is 0.129%) and improves the meat quality of the pigs[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: Crossbred castrated male pigs[1]
Dosage: 0.05-0.2% w/w in the diet
Administration: po for 22 days
Result: Increased average daily weight gain of the pig, improved the quality of m. Longissimus Lumborum (LL) meat.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
