Description
& Advantages

MCE Antibody Dilution Buffer (for Western Blot) is specifically designed for the dilution and preparation of primary and secondary antibodies in Western blot applications.

Formulated with a blend of antibody stabilizers and protectants, it enhances antibody activity and stability, minimizes nonspecific binding, and effectively reduces background signals. The result is improved specificity and sensitivity in detection. Suitable for routine use in Western blotting, this buffer ensures reliable and consistent performance with ease of use.

Storage

4°C, 1 year.

Protocol

1. Dilute the antibody according to the recommended dilution ratio (e.g., 1:1000, 1:500) based on the manufacturer’s instructions and the abundance of the target protein in the sample. The diluted antibody can be used directly for Western blotting.

2. After the experiment, the diluted antibody can be recovered and stored at 4°C for future use.

Note: The activity of the diluted antibody may decrease over time. Antibodies diluted with this product can be reused until the desired signal intensity can no longer be achieved.

Attention

1. This product is a sterile solution. To maintain product stability and extend shelf life, aseptic techniques are recommended during use to avoid contamination.

2. If antibody recovery and reuse are needed, incubation at 4°C is recommended to slow the decline in antibody activity.

3. It is recommended to use the product within one month after opening. Discard if precipitation or microbial contamination is observed.

4. This product does not contain sodium azide and therefore does not inhibit the activity of horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibodies.

5. This product is phosphate-free and will not inhibit the activity of alkaline phosphatase (AP)-conjugated antibodies.

6. This product does not contain skim milk, and will not interfere with the activity of biotin or alkaline phosphatase labeled antibodies.

7. This product contains preservatives. Handle with care and avoid direct contact with skin.

8. This product is for R&D use only, not for drug, household, or other uses.

9. For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves to operate.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
