Description

Heveadride is a fungal metabolite and an antifungal agent. Heveadride is active against various filamentous fungi and some human pathogenic yeasts. Heaveadride induces down-regulation of TNFα-induced NF-κB activity in human chronic myeloid leukemia cells with a IC50 of 82.7 μM. [1][2].

In Vitro

Heveadride (Compound 2) (5 and 10 μg/disc) shows moderate inhibitory activity against filamentous fungi, and has no activity against yeast at a concentration of 5 μg/disc, while has weak activity against some yeast species at a concentration of 100 μg/disc[1].
Heveadride (Compound 4) (10-100 μM, 2 h) demonstrates dose-dependent inhibitory activity against TNFα-induced NF-κB in K562 cells[2].
Heveadride (0.1-100 μM, 8-72 h) does not significantly decrease K562 cell viability at any concentration or measured time point but reduces K562 proliferation at 100 μM[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
