EBI-031 

EBI-031 is a humanized antibody inhibitor targeting IL-6. EBI-031 is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory inhibitor. EBI-031 has superior biological efficacy in the management of ocular diseases, such as non-infectious uveitis (NIU) and retinal vascular diseases, and other disease including non-uveitic macular edema and diabetic macular edema^[1][2][3].

EBI-031 has superior binding capacity on human IL-6 at site II, or the site that contacts gp130, with pM affinity and potently blocks signaling of IL-6 and the IL-6/sIL-6Rα complex^[3].
EBI-031 has a great thermal stability with a T_m of 76 ℃ for its Fab fragment and can be concentrated to >100 mg/mL with little measurable aggregation^[3].

EBI-031 (IVT) significantly prolongs vitreal clearance half-time with a t_1/2 of approximately 10 days, compared to Aflibercept (HY-108801) (about 6 days) and Tocilizumab (HY-P9917) (about 5 days) in rabbit models^[3].
