Description

CTL26 is a potent and orally active α-glucosidase inhibitor with an IC50 value of 2.81 µM. CTL26 shows anti-diabetic efficacy[1].

IC50 & Target

IC50: 2.81 µM (α-glucosidase)[1]

In Vivo

CTL26 (25, 50 mg/kg; p.o.; daily for 4 weeks) shows anti-diabetic efficacy in streptozocin (HY-13753)-induced diabetes mice[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: 10-15g, SPF C57/6 J male mice (STZ-induced diabetes)[1]
Dosage: 25, 50 mg/kg
Administration: P.o.; daily for 4 weeks
Result: Exhibited continuously decreasing fasting blood glucose (FBG) levels, decreased the serum total cholesterol (TC) and triglycerides (TG) levels.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
