Cat. No.: HY-N15735
Handling Instructions Technical Support

Cimicifugic acid D (2-Caffeoylpiscidic acid) is a benzyltartaric acid ester that induces vasodilation of precontracted rat aortic strips and endothelium-independent relaxation mechanism. Cimicifugic acid D inhibits extracellular Ca2+ influx through receptor-operated Ca2+ channels (ROC) in Norepinephrine (HY-13715)-induced contraction of rat aortic strips, without affecting voltage-dependent Ca2+ channels (VDC) or K+-induced contractions.

Description

Cimicifugic acid D (2-Caffeoylpiscidic acid) is a benzyltartaric acid ester that induces vasodilation of precontracted rat aortic strips and endothelium-independent relaxation mechanism. Cimicifugic acid D inhibits extracellular Ca2+ influx through receptor-operated Ca2+ channels (ROC) in Norepinephrine (HY-13715)-induced contraction of rat aortic strips, without affecting voltage-dependent Ca2+ channels (VDC) or K+-induced contractions[1].

In Vitro

Cimicifugic acid D (300 μM; 1 h; rat aortic strips) causes relaxation of Norepinephrine-precontracted aortic strips, and reduces Norepinephrine-induced concentration-dependent contraction[1].
Cimicifugic acid D (30 μM; 1 h; rat aortic strips) inhibits Ca2+-induced contraction in Norepinephrine-pretreated aortic strips[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
