Description

Apoptosis inducer 40 is an apoptosis inducer. Apoptosis inducer 40 exhibits potent cytotoxic effects against jurkat and NB4 cells with IC50 values of 4.5 μM and 3.6μM. Apoptosis inducer 40 induces apoptosis and arrests cell cycle. Apoptosis inducer 40 can be used for the research of cancer, such as acute myeloid leukemia (AML)[1].

In Vitro

Apoptosis inducer 40 (Compound 17) (0.8-50 μM, 24-72 h) time-dependently decreases cell viability in Jurkat and NB4 cells[1].
Apoptosis inducer 40 (0.6-10 μM, 48 h) induces apoptosis in Jurkat and NB4 cells[1].
Apoptosis inducer 40 (3.6-4.5 μM, 0-48 h) induces G0/G1 arrest in Jurkat cells and S phase arrest in NB4 cells[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Cell Cycle Analysis[1]

Cell Line: Jurkat and NB4 cells
Concentration: 4.5 μM in Jurkat and 3.6 μM in NB4 cells
Incubation Time: 0, 12 24 and 48 h
Result: Caused an accumulation of G0/G1 in Jurkat cells.
Demonstrates a blocking effect in S phase in NB4 cells.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
