TWIST1 Antibody (YA6034) is a rabbit-derived and non-conjugated IgG monoclonal antibody, targeting to TWIST1. It can be applicated for WB, ICC/IF, IP, ELISA assays, in the background of human, mouse, rat.

TWIST1 is a transcriptional regulator that inhibits myogenesis by sequestering E proteins, suppressing trans-activation by MEF2, and blocking MYOD1's DNA-binding through physical interaction. It also represses pro-inflammatory cytokines like TNFA and IL1B, and regulates cranial suture patterning and fusion. As a heterodimer with E proteins, TWIST1 activates transcription, but its gene regulation varies by dimer composition: homodimers induce FGFR2 and POSTN expression, whereas heterodimers suppress FGFR2 and POSTN while inducing THBS1 expression. Heterodimerization is essential for osteoblast differentiation. Additionally, TWIST1 represses the activity of the circadian transcriptional activator NPAS2-BMAL1 heterodimer (By similarity).
