TIMP2 Antibody (YA034) is a Mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 monoclonal antibody, targeting to TIMP2.

TIMP2 is a tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases that forms complexes with metalloproteinases (such as collagenases) and irreversibly inactivates them by binding to their catalytic zinc cofactor. It is known to act on various matrix metalloproteinases including MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-3, MMP-7, MMP-8, MMP-9, MMP-10, MMP-13, MMP-14, MMP-15, MMP-16, and MMP-19.

  Western blot analysis of extracts from M-brain (lane 1) and M-lung (lane 2) using TIMP2 antibody. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% nonfat powdered milk in PBST for 2 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (1/1000) and loading control antibody (GAPDH, 1/3000) was diluted with 5% nonfat powdered milk in PBST at 4°C overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG-HRP Secondary Antibody (1/8,000) was incubated for 45min at room temperature.
