TRIM33 Antibody (YA5169) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated monoclonal antibody, targeting to TIF1γ. It can be applicated for WB, ICC/IF, IHC-P assays, in the background of human, mouse, rat, bovine, dog, pig.

TIF1γ functions as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that promotes SMAD4 ubiquitination, nuclear exclusion, and degradation via the ubiquitin proteasome pathway. It does not reduce endogenous SMAD4 levels but may act as a transcriptional repressor, inhibiting the TGF-beta/BMP signaling cascade's transcriptional response and playing a role in cell proliferation control. By associating with SMAD2 and SMAD3 (By similarity), it stimulates erythroid differentiation of hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells. Additionally, TIF1γ monoubiquitinates SMAD4, hindering its ability to form a stable complex with activated SMAD2/3, thereby inhibiting the TGF-beta/BMP signaling cascade.
