Thyroglobulin Antibody (YA5696) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 monoclonal antibody, targeting to Thyroglobulin. It can be applicated for IHC-P, ELISA assays, in the background of human.
Background

Thyroglobulin (TG) serves as a substrate for the synthesis of iodinated thyroid hormones thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3). The production involves iodination of specific tyrosine residues in TG followed by oxidative coupling within the thyroid follicle lumen (by similar PubMed:17532758, PubMed:32025030). After re-internalization of TG, lysosomal proteolysis releases T3 and T4 from the polypeptide backbone for secretion into the bloodstream (by similar PubMed:32025030). One TG dimer generates 7 thyroid hormone molecules (by similar PubMed:32025030).
