SV2C Antibody (YA4323)

SV2C Antibody (YA4323) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to SV2C. It can be applicated for IHC-P, ICC/IF, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human.

SV2C plays a role in regulating secretion in neural and endocrine cells, selectively enhancing low-frequency neurotransmission and positively regulating vesicle fusion by maintaining the readily releasable pool of secretory vesicles. In microbial infection, it serves as a receptor for C.botulinum neurotoxin type A (BoNT/A, botA), with the toxin likely binding via extracellular loop 4. Recognition by BoNT/A depends on both protein-protein interactions and protein-N-glycosylation, where glycosylation of Asn-559 increases its affinity for BoNT/A. It also acts as a receptor for the closely related C.botulinum neurotoxin type A2, where glycosylation is not essential but enhances the interaction. Additionally, it may function as a potential receptor for C.botulinum neurotoxin type D (BoNT/D, botD), though type D typically does not infect humans.
