Description	SOX18 Antibody (YA067) is a Rabbit-derived and non-conjugated IgG monoclonal antibody, targeting to SOX18.
Background	SOX18 is a transcriptional activator that binds to the consensus sequence 5'-AACAAAG-3' in the promoter of target genes, playing essential roles in embryonic cardiovascular development and lymphangiogenesis. It activates transcription of PROX1 and other lymphatic endothelial marker genes, crucially triggering lymph vessel differentiation but not maintaining differentiated lymphatic endothelial cells. SOX18 is also important in postnatal angiogenesis, where it exhibits functional redundancy with SOX17. Its interaction with MEF2C enhances transcriptional activation. Additionally, SOX18 is required for normal hair development.
