SLFN11 Antibody is a rabbit-derived and non-conjugated IgG polyclonal antibody, targeting to SLFN11. It can be applicated for WB assays, in the background of human.

SLFN11 is a DNA replication inhibitor that promotes cell death in response to DNA damage, acting as a genome guardian (by similar). It persistently blocks stressed replication forks by opening chromatin and halting fork progression, leading to cell death. Upon DNA damage, SLFN11 inhibits translation of ATR or ATM based on codon usage without disrupting early DNA damage signaling. Additionally, SLFN11 functions as a manganese-dependent type II tRNA endoribonuclease, cleaving single tRNA molecules as a dimer. It specifically abrogates retrovirus (e.g., HIV-1) protein synthesis in a codon-usage-dependent manner, impairing viral replication. SLFN11 also restricts human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) and some Flaviviruses by exploiting their A/T-biased codon usage. Furthermore, it serves as an interferon (IFN)-induced antiviral protein, inhibiting retroviral protein production.
