SIX2 Antibody (YA6055) is a rabbit-derived and non-conjugated IgG monoclonal antibody, targeting to SIX2. It can be applicated for WB, ICC/IF, IP, ELISA assays, in the background of human, mouse, rat.

Background

SIX2 is a transcription factor that plays a crucial role in the development of several organs, including the kidney, skull, and stomach. During kidney development, it maintains cap mesenchyme multipotent nephron progenitor cells in an undifferentiated state by counteracting inductive signals from the ureteric bud and cooperates with WNT9B to promote progenitor cell proliferation. It interacts with TCF7L2 and OSR1 in a canonical Wnt signaling-independent manner to suppress the transcription of differentiation genes (e.g., WNT4) in the cap mesenchyme. Independently of OSR1, it also activates the expression of cap mesenchyme genes, including itself, GDNF, and OSR1. In craniofacial development, it regulates chondrocyte differentiation to facilitate cranial base growth and elongation. During stomach organogenesis, it controls pyloric sphincter formation and mucosal growth by modulating a gene network involving NKX2-5, BMPR1B, BMP4, SOX9, and GREM1. In branchial arch development, it mediates HOXA2's regulation of the insulin-like growth factor pathway. It may also contribute to limb tendon and ligament development (By similarity). Additionally, SIX2 is involved in cell proliferation and migration.
