PAI1 Antibody (YA3653) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to SERPINE1. It can be applicated for IHC-P, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human, mouse, rat, rabbit.

SERPINE1 is a serine protease inhibitor that primarily inhibits tissue-type plasminogen activator (PLAT) and urokinase-type plasminogen activator (PLAU). As a PLAT inhibitor, it is essential for fibrinolysis downregulation and controlled blood clot degradation (PubMed:17912461, PubMed:8481516, PubMed:9207454, PubMed:21925150). As a PLAU inhibitor, it regulates cell adhesion and spreading (PubMed:9175705). Independently of its protease inhibitory role, SERPINE1 also modulates cell migration (PubMed:15001579, PubMed:9168821) and promotes keratinocyte migration during cutaneous wound healing (PubMed:18386027). It is involved in cellular and replicative senescence (PubMed:16862142) and regulates alveolar type 2 cell senescence in the lung (by similarity). Additionally, it influences cementogenic differentiation of periodontal ligament stem cells and odontoblast differentiation during dentin formation (PubMed:25808697, PubMed:27046084).
