Description

RUNX3 Antibody (YA4253) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG2b antibody, targeting to RUNX3. It can be applicated for IHC-P, ICC/IF, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human, mouse.

Background

RUNX3 forms the heterodimeric complex core-binding factor (CBF) with CBFB. RUNX family members modulate transcription by recognizing the core binding sequence 5'-TGTGGT-3' or, rarely, 5'-TGCGGT-3' in regulatory regions via their runt domain, while CBFB enhances RUNX's DNA-binding capacity allosterically. The heterodimer binds to core sites in enhancers and promoters, including murine leukemia virus, polyomavirus enhancer, T-cell receptor enhancers, LCK, IL3, and GM-CSF promoters (By similarity). RUNX3 may regulate cellular proliferation and/or differentiation. In association with ZFHX3, it upregulates CDKN1A promoter activity following TGF-beta stimulation. CBF complexes repress ZBTB7B during cytotoxic (CD8+) T cell development by binding to RUNX-binding sequences in the ZBTB7B locus, acting as a transcriptional silencer (By similarity). Additionally, RUNX3 is essential for the development and survival of parvalbumin-expressing sensory neurons (By similarity).

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
