RBMY1A1 is an RNA-binding protein involved in pre-mRNA splicing. It is essential for sperm development and acts additively with TRA2B to promote exon 7 inclusion in survival motor neuron (SMN) transcripts. The protein also exhibits non-specific mRNA binding activity. by similar: Other RBMY family proteins may share analogous functions.
