Description

RanBP9 Antibody (YA5234) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated monoclonal antibody, targeting to RanBP9. It can be applicated for WB, ICC/IF, IP assays, in the background of human.

Background

RanBP9 is a potential scaffolding and adapter protein that couples membrane receptors to intracellular signaling pathways. It mediates cell spreading and actin cytoskeleton rearrangement and serves as a core component of the CTLH E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex, which selectively accepts ubiquitin from UBE2H and mediates ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of the transcription factor HBP1. RanBP9 may be involved in ITGB2/LFA-1 and other integrin signaling, enhances HGF-MET signaling by recruiting Sos and activating the Ras pathway, and potentiates dihydrotestosterone-induced AR transactivation and dexamethasone-induced NR3C1 transactivation without affecting estrogen-induced transactivation. It stabilizes TP73 isoform Alpha, likely by inhibiting its ubiquitination, and enhances its proapoptotic activity while inhibiting the kinase activity of DYRK1A and DYRK1B, as well as FMR1 binding to RNA.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
