Description

RALA Antibody (YA3752) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to RALA. It can be applicated for WB, IHC-P, ICC/IF, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human, mouse, rat, monkey.

Background

RALA is a multifunctional GTPase involved in diverse cellular processes such as gene expression, cell migration, cell proliferation, oncogenic transformation, and membrane trafficking. It achieves these functions by interacting with distinct downstream effectors (e.g., the exocyst complex, GRK2, and RALBP1). RALA acts as a GTP sensor for GTP-dependent exocytosis of dense core vesicles and regulates integrin-dependent membrane raft exocytosis and growth signaling via the RALA-exocyst complex. It is also a key regulator of LPAR1 signaling, competing with GRK2 for LPAR1 binding to modulate receptor signaling properties. During mitosis, RALA stabilizes and elongates the intracellular bridge between dividing cells and cooperates with EXOC2 to recruit exocyst components to the early midbody. Additionally, RALA controls mitochondrial fission by recruiting RALBP1 to mitochondria, where RALBP1 facilitates DNM1L phosphorylation and activation by the mitotic kinase cyclin B-CDK1.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
