Rab13 Antibody (YA4066) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to Rab13. It can be applicated for IHC-P, ICC/IF, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human.

Rab13 is a small GTPase belonging to the Rab family, serving as a key regulator of intracellular membrane trafficking, from vesicle formation to membrane fusion. It cycles between an inactive GDP-bound form and an active GTP-bound form, which recruits downstream effectors responsible for vesicle formation, movement, tethering, and fusion. Rab13 is involved in endocytic recycling and regulates the transport of transmembrane proteins (e.g., the tight junction protein OCLN/occludin) to the plasma membrane, thereby controlling tight junction assembly and function. Additionally, it may regulate tight junction assembly by activating the PKA signaling pathway and reorganizing the actin cytoskeleton via downstream effectors PRKACA and MICALL2, respectively, and may contribute to Sertoli cell barrier formation. Rab13 also plays a role in angiogenesis by regulating endothelial cell chemotaxis and is involved in neurite outgrowth. It has been proposed to participate in post-Golgi trafficking from the TGN to recycling endosomes. Finally, Rab13 is implicated in insulin-induced GLUT4 translocation to the plasma membrane, suggesting a potential role in glucose homeostasis.
