Perforin Antibody (YA3793) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to PRF1. It can be applicated for WB, IHC-P, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human, mouse.

Perforin is a pore-forming protein that plays a key role in granzyme-mediated programmed cell death and in defense against virus-infected or neoplastic cells. It is crucial for killing non-self cells recognized by the immune system, such as in transplant rejection or certain autoimmune diseases. In its calcium-bound form, Perforin inserts into target cell membranes, oligomerizes, and forms large pores, promoting cytolysis and apoptosis by facilitating the passage and uptake of cytotoxic granzymes. It efficiently delivers cationic cargo proteins but shows lower efficiency for anionic or neutral proteins. Perforin pores also enable the release of mature caspase-7 (CASP7) into the extracellular milieu (by similar).
