NUDT19 is a fatty acyl-coenzyme A (CoA) diphosphatase that hydrolyzes fatty acyl-CoA into acyl-4'-phosphopantetheine and adenosine 3',5'-bisphosphate (by similar). It mediates the hydrolysis of a broad range of CoA esters, including choloyl-CoA and branched-chain fatty-acyl-CoA esters, with medium and long-chain fatty-acyl-CoA esters being the primary substrates at low concentrations (by similar). The enzyme shows the highest activity toward medium-chain acyl-CoA esters and exhibits higher hydrolysis rates for unsaturated acyl-CoA esters compared to saturated ones (by similar). Additionally, NUDT19 demonstrates decapping activity against dpCoA-capped RNAs in vitro (by similar).
