Description

NR5A2 Antibody (YA2472) is a Rabbit-derived and non-conjugated IgG monoclonal antibody, targeting to NR5A2.
Background

NR5A2 is an orphan nuclear receptor that binds DNA as a monomer to the 5'-TCAAGGCCA-3' sequence, regulating target genes involved in early embryonic development, cholesterol/bile acid synthesis, and liver/pancreas morphogenesis. Ligand-induced conformational changes recruit coactivators for gene activation, though its natural ligand remains unidentified; certain phospholipids (e.g., phosphatidylethanolamine) can act as ligands in vitro. It functions as a pioneer transcription factor by unwinding DNA and opening chromatin. During embryogenesis, it serves as a master regulator at the 8-cell stage, controlling lineage-specifying factors and mitosis-related genes (by similar). It also modulates lipid metabolism, hepatic CYP7A expression, and exhibits anti-inflammatory roles in multiple organs (by similar). Unlike isoforms 1/2, this isoform lacks CYP7A promoter induction. In viral infection, NR5A2 cooperates with HNF1A to enhance hepatitis B virus enhancer II (ENII) activity.
