Description

NOX2 Antibody is a Rabbit-derived and non-conjugated IgG polyclonal antibody, targeting to NOX2.
Background

NOX2 is the catalytic subunit of the phagocyte NADPH oxidase complex, mediating electron transfer from cytosolic NADPH to O2 to generate superoxide anion (O2(-)). In the activated complex, electrons are first transferred from NADPH to flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) and then passed via two heme molecules to molecular oxygen, producing superoxide through an outer-sphere reaction. Activation of the NADPH oxidase complex is initiated by the assembly of cytosolic subunits with the core complex at the plasma or phagosomal membrane. This process is triggered by phosphorylation-dependent binding of the NCF1/p47-phox subunit to the C-terminus of CYBA/p22-phox (by similar). Interaction with NRROS impairs NADPH oxidase complex assembly (by similar).

  • Western blot analysis of extracts from RAW264.7 (lane 1) and M-Liver (lane 2) using NOX2 antibody. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% nonfat powdered milk in PBST for 2 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (1/1000) and Loading control antibody (GAPDH, 1/3000) was diluted with 5% nonfat powdered milk in PBST at 4°C overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG-HRP Secondary Antibody (1/8,000) was incubated for 45min at room temperature.
