NGB Antibody (YA4512)

NGB Antibody (YA4512) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to NGB. It can be applicated for WB, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human, mouse, rat.

NGB is a monomeric globin featuring a bis-histidyl six-coordinate heme-iron atom that binds dioxygen, carbon monoxide, and nitric oxide. It may aid in oxygen transport and enhance its availability to metabolically active neuronal tissues, though its low tissue abundance and high dioxygen affinity (potentially limiting oxygen release) cast doubt on this role. The ferrous/deoxygenated form exhibits nitrite reductase activity, producing nitric oxide to inhibit cellular respiration during hypoxia. Additionally, in this state, it may display GDI (Guanine nucleotide Dissociation Inhibitor) activity toward heterotrimeric G-alpha proteins, modulating signal transduction to promote neuroprotective responses following hypoxia and oxidative stress.
