MYO7A is an actin-based motor molecule with ATPase activity, belonging to the unconventional myosins family that mediates intracellular movements. Its highly divergent tail binds to membranous compartments, enabling movement along actin filaments. In the retina, MYO7A plays a critical role in renewing outer photoreceptor disks, distributing and migrating retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) melanosomes and phagosomes, and regulating opsin transport in photoreceptors. Within the inner ear, it is essential for cochlear hair cell bundle differentiation, morphogenesis, and organization, and participates in hair-cell vesicle trafficking of ototoxic aminoglycosides (by similarity). As a motor protein, MYO7A forms a functional network with USH1C, USH1G, and CDH23 to mediate mechanotransduction in cochlear hair cells, which is required for normal hearing.

  Western blot analysis was performed on extracts from Mouse testis (lane 1, 20 μg) using MYO7A Rabbit mAb.Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% non - fat milk in TBST at 4°C overnight.The primary antibody (1:1000 dilution) and the loading control antibody (beta-Actin, HY-P83730, 1:5000 dilution) were incubated in 5% non-fat milk in TBST for 1 hour at 37°C.Goat Anti - Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody (1:20000 dilution) was then applied for 40 minutes at 37°C.
