Myosin Light Chain 2 Antibody (YA3749) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to MYL2. It can be applicated for WB, ELISA assays, in the background of human.

MYL2 is a contractile protein involved in heart development and function. Upon phosphorylation, it modulates cross-bridge cycling kinetics and cardiac muscle contraction by enhancing myosin lever arm stiffness and promoting myosin head diffusion, thereby increasing maximum contraction force and calcium sensitivity of contraction. These effects collectively slow myosin kinetics and prolong the duty cycle, leading to cooperative recruitment of myosins to actin binding sites to sustain thin filament activation, fine-tuning myofilament calcium sensitivity to force (By similarity). During cardiogenesis, it plays an early role in cardiac contractility by promoting cardiac myofibril assembly (By similarity).
