MTA1 Antibody (YA4233) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG2b antibody, targeting to MTA1. It can be applicated for WB, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human.

MTA1 is a transcriptional coregulator that functions as both a corepressor and coactivator. As part of the histone deacetylase NuRD complex, it remodels chromatin and regulates target gene transcription by modulating chromatin acetylation and cofactor accessibility. Within NuRD, it corepresses transcription of BRCA1, ESR1, TFF1, and CDKN1A, while independently acting as a coactivator for BCAS3 and SUMO2 outside the complex. By similarity, it stimulates WNT1 expression by repressing its corepressor SIX3; regulates p53-dependent/independent DNA repair by inhibiting COP1- and MDM2-mediated p53 ubiquitination; maintains circadian rhythms under constant light by promoting CLOCK-BMAL1-driven transcription of CRY1 and itself; and sustains pluripotency in ESCs with TFCP2L1 while suppressing endoderm differentiation. It also binds ESR1, sequestering it cytoplasmically to enhance non-genomic signaling.
