MPO Antibody (YA5574) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG monoclonal antibody, targeting to MPO. It can be applicated for IHC-P, WB, ICC/IF, ELISA assays, in the background of human, mouse, rat.

MPO is part of the host defense system of polymorphonuclear leukocytes, responsible for microbicidal activity against a wide range of organisms. In stimulated PMNs, MPO catalyzes the production of hypohalous acids (primarily hypochlorous acid under physiological conditions) and other toxic intermediates, greatly enhancing PMN microbicidal activity. Additionally, MPO mediates the proteolytic cleavage of alpha-1-microglobulin to form t-alpha-1-microglobulin, which potently inhibits oxidation of low-density lipoprotein particles and limits vascular damage.
