Description

MCM4 Antibody (YA2708) is a Rabbit-derived and non-conjugated IgG monoclonal antibody, targeting to MCM4.

Background

MCM4 is a core component of the MCM2-7 complex, which serves as the replicative helicase essential for 'once per cell cycle' DNA replication initiation and elongation in eukaryotic cells. It forms part of the CDC45-MCM-GINS (CMG) helicase, the molecular machine responsible for unwinding template DNA during replication and serving as the foundation for replisome assembly. The active ATPase sites within the MCM2-7 ring are generated through interfaces between neighboring subunits, where a conserved arginine finger motif is provided in trans relative to the Walker A box ATP-binding site of the adjacent subunit. Notably, the six ATPase active sites likely contribute unevenly to the overall helicase activity. by similar: This functional description also applies to other MCM2-7 complex members.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
