Description	Arginase-1 Antibody (YA307) is a Rabbit-derived and non-conjugated IgG monoclonal antibody, targeting to Arginase-1.
Background	Liver Arginase is a key enzyme in the urea cycle, converting L-arginine to urea and L-ornithine, which is further metabolized into proline and polyamides that drive collagen synthesis and bioenergetic pathways essential for cell proliferation, respectively. The urea cycle primarily occurs in the liver and, to a lesser extent, in the kidneys. It regulates L-arginine homeostasis in nonhepatic tissues through competition between nitric oxide synthase (NOS) and arginase for intracellular arginine. Arginine metabolism is a critical modulator of innate and adaptive immune responses. In polymorphonuclear granulocytes (PMN), it participates in an antimicrobial effector pathway. Upon PMN cell death, it is released from the phagolysosome, depleting arginine in the microenvironment and suppressing T cell and natural killer (NK) cell proliferation and cytokine secretion (By similarity). In group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s), it promotes acute type 2 lung inflammation and supports optimal ILC2 proliferation without affecting survival. It also plays a role in the immune response of alternatively activated or M2 macrophages, contributing to wound healing, tissue regeneration, defense against multicellular pathogens and parasites, as well as immune suppression and allergic inflammation, with organ-specific regulatory outcomes. In tumor-infiltrating dendritic cells (DCs) and myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs), it suppresses T cell-mediated antitumor immunity.
