JARID2 Antibody (YA4404) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG2a antibody, targeting to JARID2. It can be applicated for ICC/IF, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human.

JARID2 is a regulator of histone methyltransferase complexes that plays an essential role in embryonic development, including heart and liver development, neural tube fusion, and hematopoiesis. It functions as an accessory subunit of the core PRC2 (Polycomb repressive complex 2), mediating trimethylation of histone H3K27 (H3K27me3) on chromatin. JARID2 binds DNA and facilitates the recruitment of the PRC2 complex to target genes in embryonic stem cells, thereby playing a critical role in stem cell differentiation and normal embryonic development. In cardiac cells, it represses cyclin-D1 (CCND1) expression by promoting methylation of histone H3 at 'Lys-9' (H3K9me) via the GLP1/EHMT1 and G9a/EHMT2 histone methyltransferases (by similarity). Additionally, JARID2 acts as a transcriptional repressor of ANF through its interaction with GATA4 and NKX2-5 (by similarity) and is involved in the negative regulation of cell proliferation signaling (by similarity). It lacks histone demethylase activity (by similarity).
