Description

ITGB7 Antibody (YA3914) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to ITGB7. It can be applicated for IHC-P, ICC/IF, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human.

Background

ITGB7 is a component of integrin ITGA4/ITGB7 (alpha-4/beta-7), also known as Peyer patches-specific homing receptor LPAM-1, which functions as an adhesion molecule mediating lymphocyte migration and homing to gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT). It interacts with the cell surface adhesion molecule MADCAM1, expressed by gastrointestinal vascular endothelium, as well as with VCAM1 and the extracellular matrix component fibronectin, recognizing one or more domains within the alternatively spliced CS-1 region of fibronectin. Additionally, ITGB7 forms integrin ITGAE/ITGB7 (alpha-E/beta-7, HML-1), acting as a receptor for E-cadherin. In microbial infection, ITGB7 binds to HIV-1 gp120, facilitating viral entry into GALT, which is considered a major trigger for AIDS disease.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
