Inhibin alpha Antibody (YA3652) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to INHA. It can be applicated for WB, ICC/IF, ELISA assays, in the background of human, mouse.

INHA encodes the alpha subunit of inhibin, which dimerizes with beta subunits (e.g., INHBA or INHBB) to form inhibin A (α/βA) or inhibin B (α/βB). These hormones act as feedback regulators in the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis by suppressing follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) secretion from anterior pituitary gonadotrope cells. Inhibin A antagonizes activin A by binding to betaglycan and sequestering activin type II receptors, while inhibin B functions as a more potent FSH suppressor (By similarity) through competitive binding to activin type II receptors in the presence of TGF-β coreceptor TGFBR3L. Beyond reproductive regulation, inhibins/activins participate in diverse processes including germ cell maturation, erythropoiesis, and insulin secretion.
