Ikaros Antibody (YA5130) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated monoclonal antibody, targeting to Ikaros. It can be applicated for WB assays, in the background of human, mouse, dog.

Ikaros is a transcription regulator of hematopoietic cell differentiation that binds gamma-satellite DNA and plays a role in the development of lymphocytes, B-cells, and T-cells. It binds and activates the enhancer (delta-A element) of the CD3-delta gene while repressing the TDT (terminal deoxynucleotidyltransferase) gene during thymocyte differentiation. Ikaros regulates transcription by associating with both HDAC-dependent and HDAC-independent complexes, targeting the chromatin-remodeling complexes NuRD and BAF (SWI/SNF) to the beta-globin locus in adult erythrocytes. Additionally, it increases normal apoptosis in adult erythroid cells. By similarity, Ikaros confers early temporal competence to retinal progenitor cells (RPCs). Its function is isoform-specific and modulated by dominant-negative inactive isoforms.
