Description	HMBS Antibody (YA3061) is a Rabbit-derived and non-conjugated IgG monoclonal antibody, targeting to HMBS.
Background	HMBS is a key enzyme in the heme biosynthetic pathway that catalyzes the sequential polymerization of four porphobilinogen molecules to form hydroxymethylbilane (also known as preuroporphyrinogen). Catalysis begins with the apoenzyme assembling a dipyrromethane cofactor from two porphobilinogen molecules or preuroporphyrinogen. This covalently linked cofactor then serves as a primer for tetrapyrrole product assembly. During the final catalytic step, the product preuroporphyrinogen is released while the cofactor remains bound to the intact holodeaminase. by similar: The enzyme demonstrates strict substrate specificity and a unique cofactor recycling mechanism during catalysis.
