Description	HK2 Antibody (YA4082) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to HK2. It can be applicated for WB, IHC-P, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human, mouse, rat, rabbit.
Background	Hexokinase II is an enzyme that catalyzes the phosphorylation of hexoses, such as D-glucose and D-fructose, into hexose 6-phosphates (D-glucose 6-phosphate and D-fructose 6-phosphate, respectively). It mediates the initial step of glycolysis by phosphorylating D-glucose to D-glucose 6-phosphate. Additionally, Hexokinase II plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of the outer mitochondrial membrane by preventing the release of apoptogenic molecules from the intermembrane space, thereby inhibiting apoptosis. by similar functions also include involvement in energy metabolism regulation.
