Description	Heparanase 1 Antibody (YA1601) is a rabbit-derived non-conjugated IgG antibody (Clone NO.: YA1601), targeting Heparanase 1, with a predicted molecular weight of 61 kDa (observed band size: 65 kDa). Heparanase 1 Antibody (YA1601) can be used for WB, IP experiment in human, mouse, rat background.
Background	Heparanase 1 is an endoglycosidase that cleaves heparan sulfate proteoglycans (HSPGs) into heparan sulfate side chains and core proteoglycans. It participates in extracellular matrix (ECM) degradation and remodeling, selectively cleaving the linkage between glucuronic acid and N-sulfo glucosamine units carrying 3-O-sulfo or 6-O-sulfo groups. Activated under acidic conditions (e.g., during tumor invasion or inflammation), it facilitates cell migration linked to metastasis, wound healing, and inflammation. Additionally, it enhances syndecan shedding, promotes endothelial invasion and angiogenesis in myelomas, and induces AKT1/PKB phosphorylation via lipid rafts to increase cell motility and invasiveness. Heparanase 1 also upregulates SRC-mediated VEGF activation to promote angiogenesis and is involved in hair follicle inner root sheath differentiation and hair homeostasis regulation.
