Description

HAUSP Antibody (YA5123) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated monoclonal antibody, targeting to HAUSP. It can be applicated for WB, ICC/IF assays, in the background of human, mouse, rat, dog, pig.

Background

HAUSP is a hydrolase that deubiquitinates various target proteins, including ARMC5, FOXO4, DEPTOR, KAT5, p53/TP53, MDM2, ERCC6, DNMT1, UHRF1, PTEN, KMT2E/MLL5, and DAXX. In collaboration with DAXX, it prevents MDM2 self-ubiquitination and enhances MDM2's E3 ligase activity toward p53/TP53, promoting p53/TP53 ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation. HAUSP also deubiquitinates p53/TP53 to prevent its degradation and enhances p53/TP53-dependent transcriptional regulation, cell growth repression, and apoptosis. Additionally, HAUSP is involved in maintaining DNA methylation, transcription-coupled nucleotide excision repair (TC-NER), regulatory T-cell (Treg) suppressive capacity, circadian clock periodicity, neural progenitor cell maintenance, and WASH-dependent actin polymerization. During viral infections, HAUSP contributes to the stabilization and trans-activation capability of herpesvirus 1 ICP0/VMW110 and interacts with Epstein-Barr virus EBNA1 to promote PML protein ubiquitination and degradation.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
