Description

FIP200 Antibody (YA761) is a Mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 monoclonal antibody, targeting to FIP200.

Background

FIP200 is a multifunctional protein involved in autophagy (PubMed:21775823), regulating both early and late events of autophagosome formation through direct interaction with Atg16L1 (PubMed:23392225). During S. typhimurium infection, it contributes to the formation of an autophagosome-like double-membrane structure surrounding the Salmonella-containing vacuole (SCV), facilitating xenophagy (By similarity). Additionally, FIP200 participates in repairing DNA damage caused by ionizing radiation, enhancing cell survival by reducing apoptosis (By similarity). It inhibits PTK2/FAK1 and PTK2B/PYK2 kinase activity, affecting their downstream signaling pathways (PubMed:10769033, PubMed:12221124). As a modulator of TGF-beta signaling, FIP200 restricts the substrate specificity of RNF111 (By similarity). It also functions as a DNA-binding transcription factor (PubMed:12095676) and regulates the RB1 pathway by inducing RB1 expression (PubMed:14533007). FIP200 plays critical roles in muscular differentiation (PubMed:12163359), fetal hematopoiesis, and neuronal homeostasis (By similarity).

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
