Description	Dynamin 1 Antibody (YA779) is a Mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 monoclonal antibody, targeting to Dynamin 1.
Background	Dynamin 1 is a GTPase that catalyzes the hydrolysis of GTP and utilizes this energy to mediate vesicle scission, participating in various forms of endocytosis, including clathrin-mediated endocytosis, synaptic vesicle endocytosis, and rapid endocytosis (RE). It associates with membranes through lipid binding and self-assembles into rings and interconnected stacks, forming a helical polymer around the vesicle membrane to constrict invaginated coated pits. The self-assembly of the helical polymer narrows membrane tubules until GTP hydrolysis is triggered. Depending on membrane curvature, detachment from the polymer after GTP hydrolysis can lead to spontaneous hemifission followed by complete fission. In non-neuronal cells, Dynamin 1 may regulate early stages of clathrin-mediated endocytosis through activation by dephosphorylation downstream of EGFR signaling. At hippocampal synapses, it controls vesicle size during membrane pit formation (by similar). It also mediates plastic adaptation of synaptic vesicle recycling to high activity levels (by similar) and facilitates rapid endocytosis, a Ca²⁺-dependent, clathrin- and K(+)-independent process in chromaffin cells (by similar). As a microtubule-associated force-producing protein, it bundles microtubules and binds/hydrolyzes GTP (by similar). Through interaction with DNAJC6, it acts during early steps of clathrin-coated vesicle (CCV) formation.
